Wharton County is one of the smaller counties located in the southern part of Texas. It is home to about 42,000 residents and consists of only three cities East Bernard, El Campo, and Wharton. Highway 59 is the highway that runs along the county and it is bound by 3 other counties Matagorda, Jackson, and Colorado counties.
