Hufsmith is a very small community with a population of only about 225 people. The town is in the extreme northern part of Harris County just north of Tomball on Farm Rd 2978 and the International-Great Northern railroad. Major roadway – Hufsmith Kuykendahl Rd also runs through Hufsmith. This road turns into Kuykendahl RD and runs through Spring and parts of Cypress and ends at Interstate 45. It is a common road used to cut through by commuters. The students of Hufsmith attend the Tomball Independent School District.
Despite the small size of Hufsmith, dozens of people are charged with DWI here due to it’s location on a major Highway and it location between the cities of Tomball and Magnolia in Montgomery County.
