District 1 is in Northwest Harris County and is approximately 150 square miles. The population of of this district is in excess of 280,000.

The Eastern border of this district is I-45 North. The Southern border is within the Houston city limits between the eastern and western borders. The Western Border is East of SH 249 and East of Fairbanks N. Houston. The Northern border is the county line of Harris and Montgomery between the eastern and western borders.
