Diabetic DWI State of Texas vs Sanchez

by Tyler Flood on June 30, 2009

State v. Sanchez – Client was acquitted after client admits that he was out drinking for Cinco de Mayo and Officers testify that client vomited while in the back of the patrol car. I learned something about Diabetes from this DWI victory. A hypoglycemic episode can mimic the signs of intoxication. In trial, all that is needed for a not guilty verdict is reasonable doubt.

The jury in this case heard the officer honestly admit that my client told him he was hypoglycemic and the officer conceded that that could have been the reason he vomited. That jury thought that was a reasonable alternate explanation to intoxication. DWI VICTORY, NOT GUILTY.
